About the Wolseley 18/85 & Six

The 18/85 of March 1967 uses the 1800’s 1,798cc B-series, with power steering as standard — its pump driven off the dynamo — and front disc brakes. It was the first 1800 with a Borg-Warner 35 automatic, selected from the dash. The S has twin SUs, 96bhp and bigger brakes. The Mk II brought reclining seats, a revised facia with rocker switches, and kept its own rear lamps when the Austin and Morris went to fins.

The Six of March 1972 has the 2,227cc E6 overhead-cam six on twin SUs, the Wolseley twin of the Austin and Morris 2200, and 25,214 were built to April 1975. Our listings name the 18/85 far more often than the Six, so for a Six, look on the Austin 1800 & 2200 page as well, or ask us.
